Building a brand model for a local center with a national vision
SMA, part of the Childhood Anxiety Network, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing information, resources and support to those impacted by a child with the anxiety disorder known as Selective Mutism (SM). SMA is the nation’s premier resource for information on SM, providing a network of professionals, families and affected individuals across the world who understand the struggle of living in silence.
Boondock Walker was engaged to develop a new identity, brand messaging, website and collateral for this nationally recognized organization. We collaborated with world-renowned industry leaders to create a website that served to increase public awareness of selective mutism, to promote greater understanding of this disorder through education and support of research, and to provide support to professionals, affected individuals, and their families.
The Boondock Walker team created a new logo and identity system that more closely represented the character and passion of the organization, and the spirit of the individuals it supports. "Find their voices" was developed as a simple, yet powerful purpose of the families and supporting professionals.
We created a new website as a key resource in increasing public awareness and promoting understanding of SM, as well as providing education and research support. The site includes valuable resources for individuals and families, treating professionals and educators, including an Ask the Expert forum, online library and bookstore.
