News >> Boondock Walker to Build Brand for Game Communications

PRESS RELEASE
Released: October, 2007

Does Cleveland have a role in the multi-billion dollar worldwide PC Gamer’s market? Ask Game Communications, one of Cleveland’s top gaming enterprises and innovative pioneer in the Industry — they’d say the game is on.

“This is a new level of multi-player gamer/developer experience. The market is hungry for this new level of social interactivity and communication,” says Game Communications’s founder.

In order to build an equally innovative brand strategy and communications design program, Game Communications has partnered with the experience design experts at Boondock Walker.

“We’ve been championing the Game Industry for some time now. It’s a viable economic opportunity for Greater Cleveland,” says David Allen Moss, Co-founder and Partner at Boondock Walker. “Groups like Game Communications, Michael DeAloia, Cleveland’s former Tech Czar, and a host of believers are taking claim to our stake in the market.

“We’re thrilled to be working to establish Game Communications as a top brand name in the Industry,” says Moss — who notes Boondock’s deep ties with the retail industry, and plans to leverage these connections to coincide with Game Communications’s goal to co-brand with an industry leading retailer.

Boondock Walker will work over the next 10 months to develop a comprehensive marketing flight plan, to coincide with Game Communications’s official product launch later this year. This will involve designing Game Communications’s brand identity from the ground up, authoring key messaging, creating a multi-part web presence, producing special events, and pursuing co-branded opportunities with companies like Best Buy.

“Our goal is to develop and deliver a unique product offering through a brand strategy that’s defined by Game Communications’s user community, gamers of all backgrounds, and the international game development community — organically,” says Moss.

According to a recent Pricewaterhouse Coopers study, analysts predict a compound growth rate of 9.1% in the Game Industry between 2007 and 2011. By 2011 there will be some $US48.9 billion dollar in video game sales alone, up from $US37.5 billion in ‘07.
