“Early Morning Standup Paddle” photo brings gold with a rarely seen view of Cleveland

AR-150729861Our own Brian Willse was awarded the grand prize in week two of Crain’s Summer in the City photo contest for his “Early Morning Standup Paddling Boarding” photograph. The photo was shot on a 6-mile paddle from Rocky River to Edgewater, and provides a rarely seen view of Cleveland.

“This perfectly composed image offers a different perspective of the Cleveland skyline while highlighting the many recreational opportunities that Lake Erie provides, especially in the summer,” said judge and Editor Elizabeth McIntyre, a judges for this week’s photos. The entries in week two included nearly twice the entries from the first week.

Willse’s prize includes a concert tickets to Music Box Supper Club, a complimentary valet voucher and a $30 gift card.

Summer in the City is a summerlong contest inviting everyone to share their ultimate Cleveland photos. Weekly prizes include gift certificates to metro Cleveland venues, grocery stores and retailers at a value of $50 to $100.
