Front End Web Developer/Designer

We're looking for a Front End Web Developer who is located in the Northeast Ohio area. This energetic and talented individual will be combination designer and developer for web projects and interactive initiatives. They will work closely with our team to create dynamic web sites, interactive prototypes and other web and application projects.

The Front-End Web Designer/Developer will be responsible for developing the graphic user interface that effectively communicates the brand ideas being communicated by the website. The developer/designer may take part in the initial planning of a Web site, meeting with the client to discuss concepts for the layout and site organization and other matters concerning site features and brand identity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop web ready interface designs from prototype designs.
  • Handle day-to-day website maintenance requests in code and through CMS editors.
  • Work with project team members to uphold Boondock Walker design values and production and technology standards.
  • Utilize best practices, seek new methods, technologies and services that further enhance Boondock Walker’s unique offerings.
  • Assist, prepare and participate in presentations to clients and prospects.

Position Requirements:

  • College diploma or university degree, preferably in the field of computer science or communication arts degree with an additional 1-3 years of professional/industry experience.
  • 1-3 years applicable experience in software/web/interactive development.
  • Knowledge of core web technologies (HTML, HTML5 and CSS), as well as add-ons such as Javascript, PHP, ASP, and Flash.
  • Experience with Adobe CS5, particularly Photoshop 5.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems, particularly open-source frameworks such as DotNetNuke, Drupal, Django, and WordPress.
  • Ability to render interface elements.
  • Ability to work with our team of lead designers to produce work of the highest quality that embodies the spirit of the project.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current web design trends and techniques.
  • Experience in working with multiple clients, projects, personnel, and contractors
  • Ability to manage time and resources according to project budget.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline driven environment.
